Gannon Rustic Fence has worked out of 34 Cross St. in New Canaan since 1981. Over 40 years in, the shop is still family owned and operated, and it still runs on the same line it has used for years: “Where old-world craftsmanship meets new age design and materials. Here at Gannon Rustic Fence, you think it and we'll build it.” That is the shop's own description of the work, not ours, and it holds up against the jobs in the gallery.
Customers who call the office deal with Thomas and Steve directly. Reviewers name them by name for showing up on time, quoting fairly, and customizing a run to the property instead of forcing a stock kit onto it. Same-day consultations are offered, and if a gate starts to sag or a rail comes loose, a text through the contact page or a call to the shop is usually enough. One customer described getting a fix within a couple of hours of reaching out.
