Fence and Gate Gallery

These are the shop's own job photos from around New Canaan and Fairfield County, not stock pictures. Privacy runs, pool enclosures, gates and arbors, ornamental and post and rail work, chain link and security fencing: pulled straight from finished jobs. Privacy and residential runs

Most of what a homeowner asks for first is a solid privacy line: cedar board, vinyl or black slat, run along a property edge or beside a driveway. We set the posts to the grade so the top of the run reads level even where the yard does not, and we build in wood, cedar, vinyl and aluminum depending on the look and the budget. Pool enclosures

A pool enclosure has to follow the pool code strictly, not loosely, and it has to close on its own every time. We build enclosures in aluminum, iron, wood, vinyl, chain link and cedar post and rail, and finish them with self-closing, self-latching gates. Details are on the pool enclosures page.

Gates and arbors

A gate carries weight and gets used every day, so it has to be built to the opening rather than pulled off a shelf. We build arched cedar gates between stone piers, arbor gates with lattice tops, driveway pairs with X-bracing, and rustic split-rail gates hung on strap hinges. Ornamental, picket and post and rail

This is the finish-focused end of the work: scalloped white picket, ranch-style post and rail in aluminum or vinyl, and three-board paddock fencing for a more open boundary. Ornamental work is usually painted or finished to match the house, and aluminum fencing pairs with a matching gate. More on the ornamental fences page.

Chain link and security

Backstops, wooded boundary lines and enclosures that keep deer out all call for the same steady chain link and wire work, usually vinyl-coated black for a lower profile against trees and stone.
